As the heat rises up from the carpet in my study and I am mildly soothed by the breeze of my new electric fan, I am overcome with feelings of love for the icy cold I am about to experience in a New York Winter. Forget Summer Love, it’s all about Winter Love.
We all long for the romance of Summer – holidays, the beach, lemonade icy-poles and shopping for our loved ones. But really we all just get more cranky – itchy and sweaty from our commute to work, jealous of our neighbours with air-conditioning and finding it hard to even get to the beach because of all stuff we have to do leading up to day X – Christmas.
So this Christmas it’s all about Winter Love for us and we want to share it with you. We’re heading off on December 20 and we’re planning to keep you posted about all the fun stuff we’re going to do, see and eat while our bums freeze!
NYC things to look out for in December and January on our blog: a tour of indie bookstores, reviews on a play or two, plenty of art exhibitions and artist talks, FOOD!, markets, music gigs, films and random good stuff.
